For those of you that are working or playing with VMware ESX Server 2.5, one of the greatest books on this subject (VMware ESX: Advanced Technical Design Guide) is available for free download. Why pay over 30 bucks at Amazon? The authors of this book have place it online in anticipation of their new VI3 version of this book. I can't wait for that one!
